If you are getting married and planning a French chateau wedding, the Loire Valley has so much to offer as a French wedding destination. Its fairy-tale castles, private mansions, vineyards and French wine make it the perfect setting for the French château wedding venue.
I couldn’t help but fall in love with the charming French château of St Julien l’Ars. This splendid estate stand out by discreet elegance and the romance of the French countryside with an exceptional view across a 23-acre park. It was the chosen venue for the romantic wedding of English couple Gary and Isabelle.
The rain came down and guests walked to the ceremony. The Beautiful Saint Julien church is just next next to the Chateau. The sun filled the church with soft light and a warm glow. I photographed guests and was waiting for the bride and her father walk inside the church. I photographed the weddings with natural light to preserve the ambiance of the celebration and genuine moments caught in real time.

Isabelle found me on Facebook and suggest to come in the Loire Valley to photograph their wedding day. If you have wedding in France in July, plan the wedding outdoors. Nevertheless, on this particular day the rain fell heavily and we crossed fingers for the sun to come out.
This little rainy moment, let me know my couple and their family, even better and let me a little bit of time for the bridal portrait with Isabelle. Her room had a beautiful view of the alley and had a simple and elegant French chateau decoration.
Wedding Portraits at a French Chateau
During the cocktail we escaped from the guests to shoot a few portraits. Dancing, walking, taking a quiet and fun moment with my couple, letting them being themselves and going with the flow… I really enjoy moments like that.
Gary and Isabelle were an absolutely a dream couple. In short, they trust my eye and let me photograph the very essence of the wedding. I was able to capture the event naturally as the day unfolded – this way of shooting preserves the story, the intimacy and the memories of the wedding day that Gary and Isabelle will cherish forever.
